Around here we’ve had nicer than average weather- an actual spring, a mild summer and now as we’re heading into fall it seems like we might actually transition smoothly into the cooler days without moving straight to freezing temps. However, just a month ago we saw some of our hottest days of summer, breaking the hundred degree mark- in September!! One of those days happened to be Neal and Kelly’s wedding day at the Senior Center in Redding. Even with the extreme temperatures, Neal, Kelly and all the friends and family made it a beautiful day!
From the beautiful location by the Sacramento River to their fabulous friends and adorable “fluffy family” (aka: Lily, the Golden Retriever and Lucy, the Boston Terrier) our time with the Kinders was a blast! Neal and Kelly are such fabulous people and a beautiful couple! Neal has the biggest heart, taking time in his big day to genuinely greet each of his guests. And what groom thanks everyone individually for their help in his dinner toast?? Yeah, he’s that guy! And Kelly… stunning, beautiful Kelly… poured months of love into preparation for their day with all the D.I.Y. details. Rather than running to the local craft store and purchasing “bridal” stuff, this amazingly talented girl decorated the fall themed wedding with home grown wheat and handmade burlap napkin rings. She made the heart-shaped bird treats as favors and handcrafted personalized hangers for herself and her bridesmaids. She’s amazing!! It all turned out beautiful! It was a treat to get to capture their love and document their day with them.
Neal & Kelly- Thank you for inviting us to your beautiful wedding! It was such a treat to get to know the two of you and share in your beautiful day! May your marriage be greatly blessed!!

Kelly personalized the boutonnieres and her bouquet with small pictures of loved ones that we not able to be present on their wedding day. Here is a picture of Neal’s grandfather.
The First Look- I love the anticipation!
They are super cute!!
Kelly wasn’t the only one crafting details for their wedding; Neal made the arbor they stood under for the ceremony. It was such a beautiful piece!
The bouquet with a picture of Kelly’s grandparents! I loved these little touches!
They are such a gorgeous couple!
The family- Neal, Kelly, Lily and Lucy
What a gorgeous crew!
Neal’s smile grew as Kelly walked down the aisle to become Mrs. Kinder
Kelly’s step-dad is in a local cover band called “The Billies” who played for the reception. They were fabulous!
And while the guests were entertained by the live band, we sneaked off with the new bride and groom for just a few more portraits on the Diestlehorst bridge.

Father Avram Brown was the priest from Josh’s days at Bishop Quinn and was one of the most lively officiants I’ve even seen! He was so much fun!!

What a gorgeous couple!!
